With both Gareth and Heather studying hard at Uni  and Alan and my Wedding to plan - 2012 looks kind of busy! Gareth  looks set to graduate in the Summer and Heather will move into her 3rd year at Stirling in September.

2011 was hard work! But despite all of that Alan and I managed a trip to South of France and Provence - the shabbiest of chic up in  Saint-Rémy-de-Provence - wonderful area. We then toured along the cost ending up in the most wonderful hotel just a short trip from Monaco high above Cap Martin.

2010  was a very memorable year for Sparkles, we received an invite from Vogue Magazine to submit a piece for their March 2010 issue, we appeared in their "Crown Jewells" feature. There is a  page of jewellery which is devoted to very high quality bespoke pieces made from beads which have been  handmade by bead artists from Britain, Italy and USA. Jewellery designed from beads by British artists  will be diaplayed under the lable "ARIA"  and some of the other beautiful beads fall under the "OPERETTA lable."  Because they are individually made the quality is superb and many of the pieces are one off's and others can be made to specific requirements some even being blown to order by my contacts just for you! Please see   VOGUE    Do not hesitate to contact me for information on how to order a "Bespoke piece."  07791446507  or 01289 332952  kathleens31@onetel.net

Having won a first at Peebles for best  stall  in 2010 we are returned to ty again in 2011  - and suceeded! Two in a row for Sparkles.

In 2010 we went to Tuscany  stayed in a lovely apartment in the hilly countryside near Palalia and visited  Siena, Pisa, Volterra, San  Giamianio (amazing town, really beautiful with its Merchant's Towers) and the lovely Chianti countryside.  Don't forget lovely Florence or Firenzie as the Italians call it.  Just after we visited the beading studio which I buy fab beads from, and on our return over the Ponte Vecchio, Alan produced the most amazing sparkler and proposed to me.  We celebrated  in a lovely garden  cafe sipping champagne opposite le Palacio Viejo (Old Palace).  So lots of sparkles for me last Summer. 

I have used some of my  photos of Venice which we visited in 2009 throughout the website, our highlight - our speedboat trip to Murano! We are so in love with venice that Alan and I have decided to be married there  later ths year - can't wait!
